Creative Healing is a gentle but effective type of body work that has the
focus of bringing the body to normalcy. It is specific massage techniques
that are intended to be applied for specific problems.
Following are the four basic principals which Mr. Stephenson based
all the applications of his work on the body.
|
 | Maintain Normal Temperature |
|
To maintain
normal body temperature it may be necessary to remove or add heat using your
hands. |
 | Break up Congestion |
|
This is done by
the "breaking up" movement performed using a circular motion of the
fingers. The surface tissue contacted moves with the fingers as they
move. This creates a penetrating action and though it is performed very
gently the effect breaks up and disperses internal congestion.
|
 | Replace Substance |
|
Example: replacing
substance "between" the vertebrae. |
 | Create a vacuum |
|
The principle of creating a vacuum is frequently used to establish
drainage from congested areas. |
|

|
 | These
simple principals are used in all of the 318 treatments that are in the textbook. |

"Creative
Healing has done a world of good for my practice. People seem
to be amazed by my knowledge of the body... how it all works
together. I have never been so inspired by someone's teaching
and smiles. Becky and Brenda are the greatest! Its well
worth your time and money. It's the best knowledge I have
learned - mind body and soul. I feel I have made a friend
forever".
April Prosser, LMT and Creative Healing graduate

"I
love Creative Healing. It has given me the confidence to work on the
many problems that a massage therapist is faced with on a daily
basis. I have seen its benefits within myself and my family and I
can't wait to put it to work for others. The work is very gentle and
easy to perform. It makes perfect sense and gives you a greater
understanding of how problems arise and how to keep them from reoccurring.

Creative
Healing has been my passion and my work for over 35 years.
It is as relevant today as it was when Joseph B. Stephenson
envisioned it many decades ago. I urge those of you who are
Creative Healers or who have benefited from it to continue to do
it and promote it.
